Chris "Jesus" Ferguson
was born in Los Angeles, California and attended college at UCLA
(for 18 years!) where he earned a PHD in Computer Science.
He began playing poker at the age of ten and long
before there were any Internet Poker Sites he was playing on an IRC
channel.
He began playing in tournaments starting in 1994.
In 1995 he entered his first World Series of Poker. He beat
T.J. Cloutier at the main event of the 2000 World Series of Poker
winning the $1.5 million prize.
