Poker Rooms Pull Out of US Market

April 19, 2025

This past Friday, April 15th was quite a shock to the US online poker market with the US Department of Justice seizing the domains of four major US friendly online poker rooms. The four online poker rooms, PokerStars, Full tilt Poker, Absolute Poker and UB Poker have since set up new domains but are no longer allowing US residents to play real money games at their tables.

The domains were seize because the poker rooms used fraudulent means to avoid federal law and by tricking US banks into processing payments. They’ve all been charged with money laundering.

While this is a big blow to the US online poker market there are still several US friendly poker rooms that are still serving the US market. Our favorite US friendly online rooms include Bodog Poker, Carbon Poker, PDC Poker and Cake Poker. Bodog Poker is our top-rated online USA poker room. Bodog Poker has stated that it is business as usual and has seen a large increase in signups since this past Friday.

Carbon Poker is also a great choice if you are looking for a US poker room, featuring a big sign up bonus, great promotions and many different deposit and withdrawal options for US players.

As news breaks on these online poker rooms, we’ll keep you updated. In the meantime, check out Bodog Poker or Carbon Poker if you are looking for a great US friendly online poker room.
