Absolute Poker Step Tournaments

February 19, 2025

A STEP tournament is a Sit n Go Tournament that gives you a shot at earning a seat in a major land-based tournament. The buy-ins to step tournaments are very low at only $0.10 at the first STEP. The step tournaments at Absolute Poker consist of 10 steps and the tenth and final step features the grand prize. Players advance from one STEP to the next by finishing first or second in a STEP. Players who don’t finish first or second but still rank high enough will be invited to replay the STEP.

The first two winners of STEP 1 advances to STEP 2 without having to buy in. The first two winners of STEP 2 advances to STEP 3, and so on. This goes on until STEP 10 where the winner secures the final land-based tournament package. If you don’t finish first in a STEP, it’s not necessarily game over. STEP tournaments give players the opportunity to replay a STEP, depending on how they finish in a tournament. You can also buy-in to a step so that you don’t have to play through all ten of the steps.

There are two different step tournaments going on now at Absolute Poker. The $8,500 Aruba Poker Classic prize package that also gives you a chance at a $10 million bonus and 2009 Sports Legends Challenge in the Bahamas.

The 2025 Aruba Poker Classic prize package is an $8,500 Aruba Poker Classic prize package which consists of a $5,500 Main Event seat and $3,000 for travel and accommodations. Yes, you could find yourself in Aruba this February for a measly dime! But it can get even better. If you win the Aruba Poker Classic Main Event after winning STEP 1 through STEP 10 consecutively without losing or buying-in again, Absolute Poker will reward you with a $10 million bonus!
