Cake Poker Reindeer Games

Starting on March 18th, Cake Poker is hosting a holiday series of value added tournaments that it is calling the Reindeer Games.  Each of the nine tournaments included in this holiday series is named after one of Santa’s reindeer and has either cash or a bonus prize added to the prize pool.  This is another one of Cake Poker’s great online poker promotions.

March 2, 2025 (InfoPowa News) — The major online poker websites PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker continued to attract large numbers to Sunday tournaments this week, generating impressive prize pools and high value prizes to the winners.
 
At PokerStars, Peter “twirlpro” Turmezy took down the top prize of almost $200,000, with his heads up opponent ‘fratzl‘ also taking home a six-figure paycheck worth some $132,176. The Sunday Millions tourney in which they competed attracted an entry field of 8,001 players, up 246 from the week prior, and generated a prize pool of $1.6 million.
 
Full Tilt’s $750,000 Guaranteed event also recorded increased entries with 3,668 sign-ups, but this still did not make the guarantee and FT had to put up the $16,400 balance. David “Doc Sands” Sands faced ‘andressoprano’ in the heads up, winning the event to claim the $132,787 first-place prize. His opponent collected a check for $80,250 for his second placing.

Poker pro beats five top Internet and land players to take home $300,000

March 1, 2025 (InfoPowa News) — Poker pros JC Tran and TonyG battled it out in the heads up of the five-day-long third edition of the PartyPoker Premier League, which culminated over the weekend. The tournament saw twelve of the world’s top Internet and land players pitted against each other in a series of heats leading to the final table.
 
Selected to compete was a stellar international roster composed of JC Tran, Tony G, Juha Helppi, Annette Obrestad, Vicky Coren, Tom Dwan, Andy Black, current WSOP MS Champ Peter Eastgate, Roland de Wolfe, David Ulliott, Phil Hellmuth, and Nenad Medic.
 
U.S. player JC Tran entered the final of the PartyPoker Premier League III with the lead over the final table six, comprising Tom Dwan (U.S.A.), Juha Helppi (Finland), TonyG (Australia), Roland De Wolfe (U.K.) and Peter Eastgate.
 
Tran lost the lead during the heads up, but staged a great comeback to beat TonyG and take home the main prize of $300,000, leaving his opponent with a second place check for $150,000.
